Our editorial line

The pace of this site

As of now, 62 articles have been published on this site, at a recent pace of about 17.3 per month. That's a deliberate choice: publish less, but check more. First went live on June 16, 2026.

Keeping content current

Articles carry a publication date and are revised whenever the information they contain changes — a price, a regulation, a practice. An article we can no longer keep current is removed rather than left online out of date.

The scope of Hong Kong eSIM

The site compares eSIM and mobile data options for Hong Kong (CSL, 3, SmarTone, and international providers like Saily and Yahoo Mobile), including how to run multiple eSIMs on an iPhone and where to find current plans before landing at the airport. It doesn’t cover other East Asian destinations as a main focus, even when the occasional title touches on them in passing, and it doesn’t cover sightseeing or itineraries. Topics are chosen around a traveler’s practical need to get online quickly on arrival, rather than long-form guides to the city itself.

A popular topic outside our scope stays outside our scope: we prioritize reliability over chasing every trending search.

The authors

Articles are individually signed, with a link to a page presenting their author's background.

Emily Wong — A little background: Emily is a Hong Kong-based travel writer. At Hong Kong eSIM she compares CSL, 3 and SmarTone plans so visitors stay connected from the airport to Victoria Harbour.

A note on our links

Some articles link to third-party sites, sometimes partners. Those links change neither the content nor the angle of the article: we do not recommend a solution because it is a partner, and we do not leave out an alternative because it is not.
